Smart Factory
A smart factory is a highly digitized and networked factory. It is based on smart manufacturing with the aim of creating production capacities that are completely self-organized and optimized.
A smart factory includes production facilities as well as logistics systems, an environment for product planning and development. The processes take place with minimal human interaction, working on technologies such as artificial intelligence (AI), robotics, big data, and the Internet of Things (IoT).

Advantages of a Smart Factory
Real-time data shows what is currently needed for production. Suppliers can easily make order adjustments based on inventory data. In this way, only what is really needed in a smart factory is delivered. Downtime due to missing parts and scrap is significantly reduced, which generally reduces production costs and increases customer satisfaction through shorter delivery times. Downtime due to tool changes and changeovers are greatly reduced and cycle times are reduced.
OEE Index
Overall Equipment Effectiveness
OEE (Overall Equipment Effectiveness) is the gold standard for measuring manufacturing productivity. Simply put, it identifies the percentage of production time that is truly productive. An OEE score of 100% means that you only produce good parts, as quickly as possible, with no downtime. In OEE, this means 100% quality (only good parts), 100% performance (as fast as possible) and 100% availability (no downtime).
AVAILABILITY
Availability takes into account unplanned and planned downtime. An availability rating of 100% means that the process had no downtime during the planned production time.
QUALITY
Quality takes into account defects (including parts that need refinishing). A 100% quality rating means that there are no defects (only good parts are produced).
PERFORMANCE
Performance takes into account cycle slows and micro downtime. A performance rating of 100% means that once a process is up and running, it runs as quickly as possible.
OEE
OEE takes into account all losses and wastages. An OEE score of 100% means that you only produce good parts, as quickly as possible, with no downtime.
Our DF1 SMART FACTORY SOLUTIONS can provide you with real-time monitoring of OOE indexes.

Supervisory control and data acquisition (SCADA) systems are used to control, monitor, and analyze industrial devices and processes

Supervisory control and data acquisition (SCADA) systems are used to control, monitor, and analyze industrial devices and processes. The system consists of software and hardware components and enables remote and on-site data collection from industrial equipment. In this way, it allows companies to remotely control machines and industrial plants and control them without being on site. The main purpose of a SCADA system is to monitor and control equipment in industrial processes.
SCADA systems provide valuable information to key stakeholders. SCADA systems can be used to improve the performance of industrial plants, monitor plant efficiency, and mitigate errors and downtime through messages received from the system.
The DF1 SCADA system consists of three main components of the system. Combined, they ensure that data is transmitted from the equipment to be monitored and controlled (sensors, motors, etc.) to an interface where the data can be analyzed and used for reporting.
The connection link in the SCADA architecture is Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs) or Remote Terminal Units (RTUs). These are microcomputers that interact with equipment (also called field devices) on the one hand, and HMIs, which are the interfaces of the human machine, on the other. HMIs are also referred to as graphical user interfaces.
Human operators access data through an HMI, which can be cloud-based or on their own servers. The software interprets and displays data in an easy-to-understand matter, so operators can quickly and easily analyze and respond to alarms.
Some SCADA systems also include options for automatic control actions and an automatic reporting mechanism for easy-to-create reports.
The ability to respond quickly to alarms and events can be vital to the operation of industrial plants. A typical scenario would be that the SCADA system notifies the plant operator in the HMI if something is not working properly. As a notification on the phone, the plant operator receives a message that he needs to react and assess the situation. If he judges that the equipment needs to stop, he can do so directly to the HMI, which sends commands to the PLC or RTU, which also sends a series of commands and stops the equipment on the spot. Thanks to the notification from the SCADA system, the operator can react quickly to problems that arise and prevent possible maintenance costs.
MES DF1
Manufacturing Execution System
A Manufacturing Execution System (MES) is software that helps businesses ensure that their manufacturing operations are running and operating efficiently. The software system connects, monitors and controls machines, work centers, work orders, labor technology and worker data and all data streams in the factory. MES does this by monitoring and collecting real-time data throughout the production lifecycle at every stage of the production process.
MES forms the functional layer between machines (operating layer) and ERP software and (administrative layer). MES provides the data needed to make quick decisions, provide real-time transparency, and optimize processes.
MES functionality
MES digitally monitors each process and collects data on the implementation of the process. MES connects and monitors processes and material flows and ensures that there are enough materials needed for production according to the component for the implementation of the process and that the process takes place according to a defined technological procedure.
Button for Image ContentMES automate
MES automatically downloads data from the machine about the operation of the machine (temperature, pressure, vibration, fluid state, piston position) and monitors the operation of the machine and registers any downtime and delay in operation. At the occurrence of any anomaly in the work, the MES preventively stops the operation of the machine, registers the type of failure and creates a work order for maintenance. MES monitors all types of downtime, by type of downtime and the length of the downtime. MES reduces the number of micro-downtimes and shortens the time it takes to change tools.
Button for Image ContentMES realization
MES monitors the implementation of each operation performed at the level of the work center, registers how many pieces each machine has produced and whether it is in accordance with the plan. MES allows for detailed planning of capacities and resources. (Planning, scheduling, balancing).
The use of MES ensures that every step of the process is carried out exactly according to the planned technology. If you have an MES system, you no longer have to wonder why the production process slows down at certain stages and why some of the products are of unsatisfactory quality. MES monitors quality control and registers any waste, waste or product that is not of satisfactory quality.
MES control
MES software allows the production manager full control over the production process and insight into the work of all operators at any time from anywhere, because it is possible to monitor the production process through an application on a mobile device and tablet.
MES shortens the production cycle time and increases production productivity.

Software for the digital management of warehouses, inventories and flows of goods and materials

WMS (Warehouse Management System)
is a software for the digital management of warehouses, inventory, and flows of goods and materials. If you work with a large number of items, especially if you work with items that have a limited shelf life, the introduction of WMS software gives your business a new dimension.
If you are a manufacturer and you export finished products or components to the EU from 2025, you are required to have a digital certificate of traceability of goods and materials within the production process, and only a WMS can provide this. (Europian Commission - General Product Safety Regulation – GPSR)
Our WMS can provide you with:
